How many times do Muslims pray in a day?

Muslims pray 5 times a day.

Names of prayers:

FAJR, DHUHR, ASR, MAGHRIB, ISHA

 

What is the 1st prayer of the day? When is it offered?

The first prayer is FAJR, offered before sunrise.

 

What is the name of 2nd prayer of the day? when is it offered?

The second prayer is DHUHR, offered after midday when the sun begins to decline.

 

What is the name of 3rd prayer of the day? when is it offered?

The ASR is offered in the late afternoon and before sunset.

 

What is the name of the 4th prayer of the day? when is it offered?

The fourth prayer is MAGHRIB, offered just after sunset.

 

 What is the name of 5th prayer of the day? when is it offered?

The fifth and last prayer of the day is ISHA, offered at night after Maghrib.

  2. Namaz — used widely in South Asia, Turkey (Namaz), Iran, and Central Asia.
  3. Prayer — the simple English translation.
  4. Islamic Prayer — often used in non-Muslim contexts for clarity.
  5. Ritual Prayer — to differentiate it from duā (supplication).
  6. Ṣalāt al-Maktūbah — prescribed prayers (the five daily prayers).
  7. Ṣalāt al-Farḍ — obligatory prayer.
  8. Ṣalāt al-Layl — night prayer (for voluntary prayers).
  9. Daily Prayers — a common English term for the five obligatory ones.

 

No Matter what name is called by nations, the essence remains the same 

    ” A direct connection between a Human and Allah“.
